Pitney Bowes Business Insight
Pitney Bowes Business Insight was my first introduction to the ExpressionEngine CMS. A CMS that I have coded for and in many times since.
My role on the project was front-end web development, not the ExpressionEngine CMS. I did, however, spend a lot of time working with our developer, who will both claim not to be an ExpressionEngine developer and that ExpressionEngine is not a CMS. The latter statement is a debate to have on another day. The first statement is true as Ed is a Sitecore MVP.
As a front-end developer I personally love ExpressionEngine. Unlike .NET implementation, ExpressionEngine does not add un-needed markup to the templates. ExpressionEngine allows you to have 100% control over the templates.
The Pitney Bowes project was one of the first that I got to do at The Berndt Group from start to finish. It was actually a lot of firsts for me, my first time using ExpressionEngine and my first time using BaseCamp for project management. There may be other firsts in this project but it has been more than few years so I don’t 100% remember. I will say this about the project, I liked working on it, I’m proud to have been a part of it and it was a solid site all the way around.
