On multiple occasions I see blog and forum posts from front-end web developers that make statements such as, "I don't support IE6" or "I only support the latest versions of browsers".
I often wonder why? Is it because you have enough client work that you can choose to not take on clients whose browser list doesn't support the latest and greatest in HTML5 & CSS3. Or is it something else? Are you too new to the profession that you can't debug older versions of Internet Explorer. Are you just so full of yourself that you think you're too good to work hard for your money?

Pardon the state of this site, which is currently a hot mess. I'm in the process of redesigning my website as well as writing content. The new site will primarily be a portfolio site with the occasional blog post usually about the web design industry. The plan is to also post the occasion screencast that will cover the basics of JavaScript initially and then we'll see where it goes from there.

Happy birthday Internet Explorer 6, you're 9 years old today; a few years too old. When Internet Explorer was released it was a cutting edge browser. Sure the CSS support was weak but at the time it was one of the best browsers on the market. Then something happened or really nothing happened absolutely nothing happened for over 5 years. While other browsers had constant updates IE sat stagnant. With each release of a new browser CSS support improved and IE stayed the same.
